I am fortunate enough to be starting my 10th year in education, all of which have transpired at Todd County Middle School. I graduated from Western Kentucky University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Business, then received my Master of Arts in Teaching with a concentration in Special Education in 2015 from the University of the Cumberlands. Lastly, my Rank 1 in Administration is from Western Kentucky University which I received in 2018. After beginning my master’s degree in 2013 as an Option 6 candidate, I became a Special Education LBD teacher at TCMS for four years before transitioning to a General Education Mathematics teacher for the past five years. These years were very formative in my growth as an educator as it provided a solid foundation in seeing both sides of a classroom in special education and in general education.
Outside of school I enjoy spending time with wife Amie, a middle school Special Education teacher and my two daughters Adalyn and Eleanor who attend North Todd Elementary. In my free time I enjoy hunting, fishing, and golfing. I am honored to accept the position of assistant principal at Todd County Middle School where I will continue the culture of positivity and learning, with our amazing students and staff, that have been built brick-by-brick, these past four years, by Mrs. Davis and Mr. Carmichael.
